TREE OF LIFE

This painting is based on imagery seen by the artist.  For a few weeks each summer, when the rising sun shines on a tree, the trunk and branches reflect a distinct image that appears to show Jesus crucified.

Although several Bible verses state that Jesus was hanged on a tree, the Bible affirms that Jesus died on a cross.  The wood of The Cross came from a tree.

Perhaps this image is simply God’s way of reminding us that Jesus, The Tree of Life, suffered and died so that we may live.  He gives eternal life to those who believe in Him.  He gives hope for a better life right now for those in need.

Jesus promised, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  (Matthew 11:28).

What a comfort it is to know that with Jesus you will never be alone.

JESUS LOVES YOU

The Tree of Life painting inspired a ministry to provide a message of hope in Jesus Christ to people in need.

The painting and text have been imprinted on cards, which are being distributed free to prison inmates through the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, and to homeless people through several rescue missions.

The goal is to continue to expand distribution as opportunities develop.  Additional audiences may include families of prisoners, abused women and children, people in assisted living, as well as others.

If you would like a card suitable for framing, please indicate a preferred size (4-by-6-inches, or 5-by-7-inches). Larger giclee prints also are available (request a price quote by email to: jdefrancesco522@comcast.net).

To order a card, please include a $1 cash donation (no checks) for the card size of your choice, which will cover mailing, as well as distribution of a card to someone in need.
